  • Words fail us and our thinking is distorted when we are overcome by mental illness and emotional pain. The Hold On Campaign helps those struggling with suicidal thoughts stay alive by using the power of art to express and heal.

The internationally award-winning “Hold On,” “Lift You Up,” and “Don’t Give Up” songs express understanding, compassion, and support in reaching out for help. These free of charge songs are meant to be heard by individuals, put on mental health organization websites, shared on social media, and be used at mental health conferences to help promote suicide prevention.

Holding The Heart When It Breaks," is our music recent song and lyric video. It was created in response to the death (most likely by suicide) of Sinead O'Connor and the suicide of her 17 year old son Shane in January 2022. This heartbreakingly beautiful song is also available with an introduction on suicide statistics in the United States and there's another video of the song including an introduction on how it came to be and with information on the Hold On Campaign. "Holding The Heart When It Breaks," as with our other Hold On Campaign songs, is available free of charge for individual and/or organizational use to help prevent suicide.

”Creative Life Lines” poster/art cards bring mental health awareness and resources. These cards are distributed free of charge at Hold On presentations and events. The cards can also be requested by contacting the Hold On Campaign.

The “Wings of Resilience” Events and Workshops offer creative ways to safely release emotions, increase sharing with others, provide emotional support by knowing we are not alone, educate on mental health skills and strategies, and encourage help seeking behaviors. These events are held both online and in person.

Hold On mental health presentations and art events for suicide prevention nurture communities of caring as the Campaign helps break through walls of silence, shame, and stigma to create compassion for self and others.
