Powerful Art Reaches Out
AACAP News
The crocus flower is symbolic of hope, renewal, transformation, and resilience — it grows within the darkness of winter and emerges into the light of spring. Like this beautiful and sturdy flower, the ideas and creative work of participants in the "Create Resilience" Youth Art Contest for Suicide Prevention are meant to reach far beyond the contest itself, carrying their impact out into the light. Warm congratulations to Ariana Payan-Nunez, Mahika Bhan, and Lizzeth Martinez for having their 2025 artwork featured in AACAP News, a publication of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
